Newsletter – February 2021

We’ve just emailed our first guest newsletter for a while.  We have some news to share:

🔹 The past year has been a tough one for everyone and in light of this we made the decision to sell Wisteria Cottage.  We still have Mulberry Cottage and are keeping the Haworth Holiday Lets logo as we may add another cottage at some point.  If you haven’t previously stayed at Mulberry Cottage, we hope you’ll love it as much as Wisteria.

🔹 If you have booked with us through Sykes Cottages in the past, we are no longer listed with them.  We have made the decision to ‘go it alone’ as the majority of our bookings are direct through our secure website and we can offer our guests the best deals and flexibility this way.

🔹 We are excited to have purchased a very rare oak and mahogany longcase clock handmade by John Barraclough of Haworth (there is a pristine example in the Bronte Parsonage). The clock is most likely to have been made around 1830 (10 years before Mulberry Cottage was built). It is believed to have been made for the ‘The Rule Britannia’ public house at Upper Ponden, not far from Haworth.  The clock is on display at Mulberry Cottage and there is more info on it in our ‘Blog’.

🔹 We’re planning to add a lovely oak door and porch at Mulberry Cottage next month.  We think this will look wonderful and much more in keeping with the cottage.  We’ll share photos when this is complete.

We’re still waiting for the announcement on when we can open back up to leisure guests and hoping this will be clearer on the 22 February.  In the meantime, bookings are coming in for dates after Easter, so if you have some dates you’re thinking about, make sure you take a look and see if we have availability.

Don’t worry if you need to move dates or cancel due to travel restrictions, we have a flexible policy in place that can be viewed on our ‘Covid19 Update’ page of the website.  There is also information on the page regarding procedures we have put in place to help to keep our guests safe.

We’ve really missed our guests and are looking forward to welcoming you to Mulberry Cottage soon.
